WHERE IS YOUR OFFICE?

My office is located at 2311 Canterwood Drive in Wilmington. From 17th Street, turn onto Medical Center Drive (across from the main entrance of New Hanover Regional Medical Center) and go two blocks. Take the 2nd left, which is Canterwood. My office is the fourth building on the left.

WHAT'S YOUR BACKGROUND?

I have been in practice in Wilmington since 1993. I graduated from Yale University and Georgetown Medical School. I completed my psychiatry residency at the Massachusetts Mental Health Center, which is affiliated with Harvard Medical School. I am Board Certified in Psychiatry.

DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

In general, payment is due at the time of service. My office will file your insurance and they will pay you any benefits that you have under your plan. There are some exceptions to this general rule. Currently, I accept BC/BS Federal and State Employee Plans, and BC/BS Regular Indemnity Plans. If you have any of those plans, you will pay the amount required by your policy.

WHAT IF I HAVE MEDICARE?

I am a Medicare provider, and my office staff files with Medicare for you. If any payment is owed by you, such as for your deductible, payment is due at the time of your visit.

PRE-AUTHORIZATIONS

Please check to see if a pre-authorization is required by your insurance for your mental health benefits. If your insurance requires pre-authorization, you need to ask to see me specifically and obtain such pre-authorization in advance of your appointment. If you find that your insurance requires pre-authorization now or in the future, please let my office staff know as soon as possible. If you need advice or assistance with this, please call my office and we will be glad to help you.

APPOINTMENTS/
CANCELLATIONS

Since I work by appointment and reserve a specific amount of time for each patient, you can rely me to be on time and to see you when your appointment is scheduled. If you cannot keep your appointment for any reason, you are required to give my office at least 24 hours advance notice. If not, you must pay for the time that was reserved for you.
